Tigertailz – Bezerk Live: Burnin’ Fuel

On December 6th 2010 legendary Cardiff glamsters Tigertailz release their latest album ‘Bezerk Live: Burnin’ Fuel’, Amped was treated to a sneak preview.

As Kim Hooker explains “We wanted to do something for the 20th anniversary of ‘Bezerk’”, so in 2010 the Welsh rabble rousers decided to pay homage to the crazy days of 1990 and play Bezerk live in its entirety whilst commiting it to record for prosterity. The result follows in the footsteps of such live classics as Live and Dangerous, Unleashed In The East and KISS Alive!

The album showcases a 12 song live set ; featuring the Bezerk track list plus cheeky renditions of ‘Crazy Horses’ and ‘Ace of Spades’, which is performed with serious intensity and conviction .

Having attended the quite frankly incredible Tailz hometown show way back in May I was expecting big things, and I wasn’t disappointed; each track captures the Tailz‘ unique brand of musical madness, the melodic mayhem is crystal clear and mixed with beautiful precision by producer Tim Lewis; utilising live recordings from shows in Cardiff, Newcastle and Stockholm.

Kim Hooker enthuses, “The album sounds fantastic; the songs leap out at you, just like we always wanted them to. You’ll be amazed at how exciting these songs sound in 2010”, describing the sound as “the best possible live headbanging experience”.

Bezerk Live; Burnin’ Fuel perfectly captures the live Tigertailz sound, as Hooker puts it himself, “The nearest thing you can get to a Tigertailz concert in your front room”. It celebrates both the classic songs such as ‘Love Bomb Baby’, ‘Heaven’, ‘Noise Level Critical’ and ‘Sick Sex‘ along with the musically evolved and heavier sound of the band today, a fitting tribute to Bezerk.

Priced at £9.99, Bezerk Live: Burnin’ Fuel can be pre-ordered now from www.tigertailz.co.uk/merch
