RM’s R.I.P.

Amped is sad to report that Merthyr’s original rock club RM’s caught fire last night. Reports surfaced around 8pm last night followed by photographs this afternoon.

The club opened in the late 90’s and played host to many of today’s major Welsh acts such as: Funeral for a Friend, Lostprophets and When Reason Sleeps (comprised of members of The Blackout and The Guns).

The club shut down in the mid noughties and was quickly turned into a chinese buffet.

Sadly all hope of the club returning to it’s former glory is lost.
