Veteran Cardiff venue the Coal Exchange is re-opening following a multi-million pound investment.

The building formerly used to conduct trade negotiations with the South Wales Mining Industry, is opening it’s doors once more on the 1st November 2009 after being redundant for the past 3 years.

Funeral for a Friend have been given the honour of playing the first show at the revived venue, which takes place on 3rd November. The gig features support from local favourites The Guns, who played the final show during the venues first lease of life on the 27th September 2007.

Following the unfortunate closure the future seems to look bright for the Coal Exchange with events booked until March 2010.

If you would like to attend the show on the 3rd November tickets are available for £12.50 at ticketline.co.uk
